For sale is an extremely rare offering of a large early century sailing sloop.... think Bluenose. This is very large model made in the Cape Cod or Rhode Island area. over 100 years ago. I purchased it on a road trip to Rhode Island 50 years ago from a maratime art shop. It has been displayed in my home for 50 years.
The hull is strip planked mahogany, ebony and oak. It is made from hundreds and hundreds individual strip planks...beautiful model construction. It is large, 66" tall X 49" long! The workmanship is old school classic and superb. This model is not met to be sailed in water, it is met to be displayed as a center piece of a room or your sons bedroom. In todays world you could not touch this for 10x the amount Im asking, if at all. Please note that I do not care about the money that Im asking, I care that it goes to the right home....thanks,
