This handcrafted patchwork rug is composed of hundreds of small square pieces of natural cowhide sewn together to create a subtle tonal pattern in soft ivory, cream, and warm neutral shades. The rug looks unbound but is fully finished (see photo). The design works equally well in modern, mountain-modern, contemporary, Scandinavian, or transitional interiors.

The rug was purchased new from CB2 for $1,100 (including tax and shipping) and has been used in a smoke-free home.

Condition is good overall with normal wear consistent with use. There are some areas where foot traffic in front of a sectional sofa has worn away some of the hair, revealing the darker hide beneath (see photos). The wear is cosmetic only and does not affect the structure or durability of the rug. Many people feel it adds character and a naturally aged look typical of genuine hide products.
